How to register schemes

All managed investment schemes under the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013 (FMC Act) must be registered online, using the Disclose Register. This can be done by either the manager or a third party acting on their behalf.

The acceptance process

For a scheme to be registered on the date it’s submitted, the Registrar must receive your correctly completed application before 3pm NZT (business days). When an application to register a scheme is received, the Registrar may accept, request more information or reject your application. If the Registrar receives your application before 3pm NZT (business days), you should receive notification of the decision the same day.
