Over the coming months, we’ll be making some changes to how we administer some of our business registers, allowing us to deliver a range of services not previously available.
Key to this enhanced usability will be the adoption of the New Zealand Business Number (NZBN). All registered entities in the business registers family will be identified by a New Zealand Business Number. The NZBN is a unique identifier that links to key information businesses are most often asked to share, meaning they don’t have to repeat this information multiple times.
Business registers’ customers will also have the option to log in via Facebook, Google or LinkedIn, in addition to RealMe, and have access to a dedicated phone line, meaning their questions are answered quickly and effectively.
The first group of business registers to be refreshed in this way will be:
- New Zealand Limited Partnerships
- Overseas Limited Partnerships
These business registers will eventually follow suit:
- Incorporated Societies
- Charitable Trusts
- Industrial & Provident Societies
- Building Societies
- Friendly Societies
- Credit Unions
- Special Bodies
So watch this space, as we update you on the latest developments. For more information about our business registers, read about what we do.
