Minimum standards published for licensing and accreditation under the Insolvency Practitioners Regulation Act 2019

The Registrar of Companies has published minimum standards, conditions and requirements for ongoing competence for the licensing of insolvency practitioners, and minimum standards for the accreditation of bodies, after a period of public consultation.

The following notices have been published on the New Zealand Gazette website:

A summary of the submissions received on the proposed minimum standards, conditions, and ongoing competence requirements for licensing is also available. This consultation was carried out between 15 November and 13 December 2019.

The Insolvency Practitioners Regulation Act 2019 is scheduled to commence in June 2020. However, the commencement dates of legislative instruments may be affected by the ongoing COVID-19 situation.
